Adult Volunteer Program Chehaw has a world of opportunity waiting for you! Volunteers play an integral role in providing an exciting and educational experience for visitors to the Park. Whether you wish to share your passion for wildlife conservation with the public, assist with special events, or help out in a more behind-the-scenes capacity, we are sure to find the perfect niche to utilize your talents and time to enhance our guest experience. Now is the perfect time to join the Chehaw team. If you are interested in joining the program, please e-mail your contact information to the volunteer coordinator.
Short on Time?
Would you love to help Chehaw but don’t have time to be a CEC volunteer? Why not become a Special Event volunteer? We have events year-round and always need volunteers to help make them successful. If you are interested, please email the volunteer coordinator.
Junior Zookeepers Chehaw also has a program for those younger than 18 years of age who wish to volunteer. Junior Zookeepers are youth volunteers (13-17 years old) who are interested in volunteering as camp counselors, exhibit hosts, and animal care volunteers. Dues are $50 for one year. All interested applicants for the 2014 program will need to fill out the Junior Zookeeper application and return it by March 21. Junior Zookeepers will also participate in a short interview with a member of the Education Staff.
